History

 

The St. Nicholas Dance Ministry, originally known as the Levendia Dance Troupe, has a proud history in Greek dance. Founded in 1979 by John Lulias, the Levendia Dance Troupe quickly gained fame, performing and teaching across America and Greece. With guidance from expert instructors, the troupe became a beloved name in Greek dance.

Today, the Levendia Dance Troupe continues as the St. Nicholas Dance Ministry, still thriving and carrying on the tradition. We’re proud to have hosted many successful Winter Dance Conferences (WDC), where dancers and musicians from around the world come together to celebrate and share their love of Greek dance. These conferences have become a special event for us, blending tradition, learning, and fun in one amazing weekend.

As we move forward, we’re excited to keep sharing our passion for Greek dance through the Winter Dance Conference and beyond.
